Panthers forward Richard Zednik has been released from the Buffalo General Hospital, Zednik had suffered a gash to the neck in a game vs the Buffalo Sabres last Sunday.

“I want to thank everyone for their tremendous support this week,” Zednik said. “All of the fans, my teammates, the Panthers and Sabres organizations and the people of Buffalo have been great.

“I especially want to thank the nursing and medical staff at Buffalo General Hospital — they have been by my side every step of the way.”

Zednik is a good guy and I was a little sad to see him goa few seasons ago, now the only question remaining is how will this affect Richard’s play, Richard’s career?

He may not be the same player he was, although he had been on a sharp decline from his Canadiens glory days for the past 2 seasons with Washington, the Isles and Florida anyway.
The injury came at a worst time for the Slovakian forward, who had just started to heat up , scoring a hat trick two weeks ago.

It must’ve sucked to be Olli Jokinen after that game (he was the one who cut Zednik and severed his carotid artery)
