‘Canes scouting Campbell?
Apparently the Canes’ scouts are at the Sabres game tonight.
The only person I could see us looking at is is Brian Campbell. I imagine it would have to be a pretty low price for us because we don’t have anyone we can afford to lose at this point.
That said I think he would be a great fit.
AND it would be a statement that we really are a contender…or want to be.
Wouldn’t you guys go after someone to replace Brrind’Amour?
Doubt it. First of all…Brindy would be really hard to replace. He is a faceoff god and provides a leadership unlike many players in this league. I also think the type of player we would have to get to replace Brindy would have such a high cost that we’d have to give up another top 6 forward…that we really just don’t have to hand away.
Now that Matt Cullen is back and still producing we just need Staal and the rest of the guys we have on the forward line to step it up. And they have.
I think if we can get a physical defenseman who can help shut down and give our goalie a helping hand it would be awesome.
