The Colorado Avalanche have managed to bolster their playoff & Stanley Cup hopes by adding a player for free. TSN has reported that Peter Forsberg has signed on with the club for at least the reminder of the season.

Financial terms of the deal have yet to be determined.

In Forsberg’s 12-year career, he’s dressed for 697 games while recording 871 points.
