I hate trade deadline days

Anyway, my favorite player got traded today. The Canes traded Andrew Ladd for Tuomo Ruutu today. Most of the Caniac nation agrees that it feels like we made a trade just to make a trade. Anyway, I won’t harp on that. I will watch Andrew in Chicago and I am hoping Ruutu does well here.
We played the Marty Brodeurs tonight. Awesome game. I used to like watching Ward play against Brodeur since he is his hero, not so much the other 2 games this year, but this game rocked. Good defensive game by BOTH teams and both goaltenders we really really good. Lavi was messing with the lines all night since Eaves and Ruutu were both making their Canes debut for us tonight. Sergei Samsonov continues to be awesome scoring the tying goal and the OT winner for us (after collecting his own rebound)
Tim Gleason left the game with a head injury…seems we can’t go a single game without someone getting hurt!
Anywho, on to Thursday in hopes of moving up from 71 points!!

I CANNOT believe they sent him to Washington! I think it may be the worst trade of the day honestly. Huet? Really?
I think a lot of the GMs smoked crack before making trades today.
Yeah, I can’t believe it either as a Habs fan, I loved him, and all they got was a lousy 2nd rounder.
Oh and I can see why you’re upset too, Washington has a top-tier goalie now, and could battle.
They didn’t smoke crack, they were on heroin.
How’d Ruutu look in his first game?
He definitely has the physicality we needed. Got to the arena about 10 minutes before puck drop. Hard to tell really since he was obviously not clicking with the team yet (reasonably so) but he did get an assist! Oh and 40 stitches from a high stick : D
Can’t come to this team without having an injury or sickness in the first week. Which is why we just got Patrick Eaves already injured! LOL
