Kolzig to Ottawa? Goalie shuffle to ensue?
Kevin Lee on hockeybuzz is reporting that Olaf Kolzig is not on the ice, and there is a strong possibility that he will be traded to Ottawa.
After the Huet trade (whom I personally did not think would ever play for the Caps at first), the goalie market might be opening up. Montreal should for sure be in the market for another goalie.
If Kolzig is dealt, then that will set the motion for either Gerber or Emery to be dealt. I think the Kings might be in play there.
The Sharks might be in the market for a backup goalie. An interesting name to watch is Brian Boucher, currently with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL. San Jose doesn’t use their backups anyways, but if they do, someone who has been in the NHL before should help.

I heard on XM 240 today that the Capitals were originally going to flip Huet and Fedorov to the Senators, but they had no interest in Emery. I had a feeling something like that was going down.
