The Passion Returns

I’ll be uploading this in a single file, without the watermark, on FaceoffBoards.com for members with 50+ posts tonight. For those who forget, this is the video defining the best run the Leafs have had in modern times, the 92-93 run. People have been requesting this vid all over the internet and its finally been uploaded by me. :)

How humiliating for Leafs’ fans. Wow. It must be awful to have to treat a trip to the semi-finals as a benchmark year.

Plenty of non-Leaf fans have agreed with me that the ‘93 Leaf run to the semi-final was absolutely fantastic to watch. This was some of the most exciting playoff hockey in (not so) recent memory. Series victories over Detroit and St. Louis led to the showdown with Gretzky and the Kings. Montreal’s final series with the Kings was quite forgettable unless you’re a Habs fan. This Leaf semi-final run beat any trap team’s championship like New Jersey or Dallas for example. The recent cup champs of the southern States are a travesty to this game. This Leaf team was a hockey team with heart and guts. Not a bunch of wussy Europeans whining and falling down every time someone touched them.

    ….”The passion will return again”….. timeline uncertain……
